To apply for a visa under the India Young Professionals Scheme, you must first enter a ballot.

  • The next ballot will open at 2:30 pm India Standard Time on 20 February 2024.
  • It will close at 2:30 pm India Standard Time on 22 February 2024.

Eligibility

To be eligible for an India Young Professionals Scheme visa you must:

  • be an Indian national or citizen between 18 and 30 years old
  • be at least 18 years old on the date you plan to travel to the UK
  • have a qualification at bachelor’s degree level or above (Regulated Qualifications Framework level 6, 7 or 8)
  • have £2,530 in savings to support yourself in the UK
  • not have any children under the age of 18 who live with you or who you’re financially responsible for
Before applying for a visa, you must first apply for and be selected in the India Young Professionals Scheme Ballot. You cannot apply if you have already been in the UK on this programme or the Youth Mobility programme visa.

Documents

You will need to provide your:

  • name
  • date of birth
  • passport details
  • a scan or photo of your passport
  • phone number
  • email address

Successful entries will be selected at random. You will get the results by email within two weeks of the ballot closing.

Entering the ballot is free. You should only enter if you intend to apply for the visa, which costs £298, and fulfil the financial, educational, and other criteria.

In 2024, there will be 3,000 spots available for the India Young Professionals Scheme visa. Most positions will be available on the February ballot. The remaining positions will be made available on the July ballot.

Each individual can only submit one entry for each ballot. Any subsequent efforts to enter will be disregarded.
