Type of international students’ student visas for Italy
For international non-EU students, there are two types of Italian student visas.
“VISA TYPE C” as well as “VISA TYPE D.”
Depending on how long a student wants to stay in Italy.

Italy Schengen Student Visa (Visa Type C)
The applicant should apply for a “Visa TYPE C” if the student is applying for a “Short Course,” “Apprenticeship,” “Seminars,” “Vocational training,” “Exchange & mobility program,” or “University single course” that only needs them to stay in Italy for a maximum of 90 days.
OR
In certain particular circumstances, the Italian Institute (such as “The University of SIENA”) demands an entrance exam for admission; nonetheless, they must still apply for Visa type C.
A TYPE C Schengen visa is not required for non-EU students studying in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, or any other country. They can present the necessary identity documents upon arrival to prove their right to be in Italy.

Italy National Student Visa (Visa Type D)
The student should apply for a visa type D if the course they are interested in is more than 90 days.
Generally speaking, whether the applicant is pursuing a full-time PhD, master’s, or bachelor’s degree. They should apply for TYPE D as their course will take more than ninety days.

For a D-type visa (long-term stay, more than 90 days), the cost of an Italy study visa is 50 euros On the other hand, the cost for a C-type visa [Short-term stay (less than 90 days)] is 80 euros.
Note: From time to time, third parties such as VFX Global may impose additional costs, such as service fees or convenience fees. That additional cost might range from 10 to 20 euros.
The cost is 12026 PKR for a long-term student visa to Italy and 19242 PKR for a short-term study visa from Pakistan.
(The sum may vary based on the global market; it was calculated using the exchange rate of 1 euro for 240 Pakistani rupees.) The short-term Italian student visa charge is 7049 INR and the long-term study visa fee (D-Type) for India is 4406 INR.

Italy student visa processing time
